Building Forest Roads in Slovakia Print E-mail
Kindly supported by the Agricultural Paying Agency in Bratislava a project for building forest roads in the forest area of WH Danubius in Klástor pod Znievom, Slovakia, has been realized within the last few years. In total around 45 km of forest roads are going to be build and actual forest trails are going to be improved. The opening of the forest area allows fundamental improvements in the forest management by short and therefore economic harvesting distances as well as the opening of large areas with matured forest reserves.

Until today around 16 km of forest roads have been finished. The project is going to be finalized until 2011. The good cooperation with the public authorities has been essential for the project. Already during the planning phase it was taken into consideration to incorporate all participants and public authorities and therefore an efficient work and good project progress has been realized.
