Firmly rooted in the timber business, and having assumed a pioneering role in Eastern Europe, WERTHOLZ, early on, believed in its vision of gaining a foothold in forestry and agriculture and buying and managing such land in Eastern Europe.

Today, WH Danubius s.r.o. owns 3,000 hectares of woodland and 1,500 hectares of farmland in Slovakia. These are managed by seven employees according to the principles of sustainable forestry management, taking a responsible approach to natural resources. The annually harvested timber amounts to 15,000 solid cubic metres, with the wood being sold in Slovakia, and also exported to other European markets. The high-quality foodstuffs produced in the certified operations belonging to WH Danubius s.r.o. are marketed exclusively in Slovakia.

 

 
Building Forest Roads in Slovakia Print E-mail
Kindly supported by the Agricultural Paying Agency in Bratislava a project for building forest roads in the forest area of WH Danubius in Klástor pod Znievom, Slovakia, has been realized within the last few years. In total around 45 km of forest roads are going to be build and actual forest trails are going to be improved.
